Concrefy (formerly B|A|S Research & Technology) works with its customers on opportunities to develop more sustainable materials, further industrialize construction and production processes, and digitize information flows. Concrefy has a very modern laboratory for testing concrete, asphalt, raw materials, recycling granules and metals. Our concepts combine concrete technology, modern (measurement) techniques and data analysis. Concrefy develops 'Decision Support Tools' (DST) that give construction parties insight and control at a glance. A transition from 'measuring to know', to 'measuring to control'.

Research metals
Concrefy's laboratory specializes in investigations of rebar and related products for concrete construction. For steel producers, we perform verification examinations of reinforcing steel. For bending plants and concrete plants, these are investigations on structural welded joints, process checks on directed reinforcing steel and also tests on welded joints. These can be manually welded joints or machine welded products such as reinforcement nets, lattice girders or spiral reinforcement.

Process control rebar
For process controls on rebar, we have a unique web portal that helps our customer perform the controls in a timely manner and also provides overviews of qualified welders and straightening equipment required by certification bodies.

We provide timely sampling recommendations, arrange for samples to be collected and then tested and reported within a few days. The results are provided with an assessment and a recommendation, if necessary. The overviews of welders and straighteners on the web portal are also updated automatically.

This allows the producer to focus on his production while quality aspects are managed automatically.

Mechanical connections
Our laboratory is among a select group of laboratories worldwide capable of performing tests on mechanical joints and final anchors for rebar according to international standards such as ISO 15835.

We perform these tests for manufacturers of these interconnecting systems, as well as for contractors and other processors of these products. Here we assess on the basis of static, dynamic and cyclic loads whether the products meet all the requirements for use in bridges, viaducts, power plants, dams, high-rise buildings or stadiums.

It is important for our clients in these studies to have test results quickly, because whether or not they win an order often depends on this. With our team of experienced staff and advanced testing equipment, we ensure that our clients have their test results within a few days.
