Concrete stairs Tom Hermans bv specializes in stairs and custom concrete work.

In 2010, Tom Hermans, business manager, entered the then company of his stepfather on a self-employed basis. The main activity consisted exclusively of installing stair formwork for rough stairs. In 2016, his stepfather retired and Tom took over the business completely.

From his fascination with concrete and architecture, Tom began to specialize in exposed concrete. Initially this was for stairs but later for kitchen countertops, decorative fireplaces, porches and other interior concrete pieces.

In 2019, Tom attended training abroad on working with fiberglass reinforced concrete. Because this concrete is only 2.5cm thick, there is a huge weight saving that allows them to prefabricate pieces in the workshop much more easily. The installation of these pieces is then usually done in less than 1 day. Also in terms of color and design, the possibilities here are virtually endless.

We are now almost 11 years on and his stepfather's then one-man business has grown into a company with 7 full-time employees (own staff and permanent subcontractors). Because they are the only company in this sector that works with several shifts, they can always be flexible to the wishes of the customer and can also handle larger works such as projects for "Van Der Valk" hotels where they have already had the opportunity to install several staircases.

They do not shy away from any challenge and work with the client to find the best/best execution to achieve the desired result. Each project is unique to them.

They work for both contractors and individuals all over Belgium and the Netherlands and are known for their craftsmanship and good service.

Since February 2021, they have moved to a new commercial building in Hoogstraten. In addition to a spacious workshop, storage and office, a showroom is also provided here.
