'Always get the job done'

There is no escaping the tight current labor market. Employers are currently facing a major personnel shortage as well as a shortage of qualified personnel. "Profimax offers the solution to this," said director Henri Lensen. In November, Profimax already held the role of leading player in the temporary employment industry in the mediation of professionals in the facade construction industry for 10 years. "Only flexibility keeps everything moving. Profimax keeps the flexible shell maximally flexible and moves with the client to provide the right solution."

In order to continue to meet the client's flexibility and requirements, Profimax added two divisions in addition to Facade Construction a year and a half ago: Construction and Engineering, which are growing substantially. Profimax distinguishes itself in the temporary employment sector by having sufficient professional professionals in Facade Construction, Construction and Engineering, who can be deployed immediately. "We have professionals, whether it is a construction helper or concrete carpenter, who are available immediately, including VCA, GPI, Construction Pass, Pbm's, approved basic tools, A1, Limosa, Dutch or English speaking. We always keep a sizeable pool of professionals available for when a lot of extra workers are suddenly needed. Everyone we introduce has been personally screened by us and, if necessary, retrained or trained so that they meet Profimax standards with the required equipment," Lensen explains.

One-stop-shop delivery

Profimax believes that retaining staff is currently at least as difficult as recruiting new personnel. "Hence also that within Profimax we mostly work with permanent teams, which are supported and guided on a daily basis by our field managers," Lensen said. "The field managers are highly experienced professional professionals who exude a certain seniority and therefore a certain level of confidence. A unique concept within our staffing industry. We go into the production or construction site at the start-up phase and ask our clients specifically about their desired job profiles. We then hold these against the skill matrices of our employees. We see if the job profile meets the matrix, focusing on the right match. This system virtually eliminates drop-outs. Managing expectations is key in the start-up process, both for the employee and for the client." In other words, always get the job done, a one-stop-shop delivery and Profimax arranges and supervises this entire process in detail for the client.

Planning pressure

In the longer term, Profimax is experiencing few or no problems and Lensen foresees plenty of work volume. In the short term, however, the availability of materials does pose challenges due to the current situation in Ukraine. For example, in scheduling. "When five men are scheduled for a project but there is no material, they cannot move forward either. However, the client does want a guarantee that once the material arrives, they will still have those five workers at their disposal. Therein lies a huge challenge for Profimax," Lensen said.

Skilled and certified professionals

"Our workforce for 20% consists of Dutch or Dutch-speakers and further professionals from other European countries. They are only too happy to work here and are trained internally if necessary, so that Profimax can continue to provide the service they are used to." Profimax supplies only skilled and certified professionals. Not jack-of-all-trades, but proud specialists who are masters of their trade and enjoy what they do. Almost all of them hold VCA, DVP, IPAF and rigger certificates. "With our three divisions, we can work on one project at a time for different clients, such as at the Galaxy Tower in Utrecht, for example."

Future Vision

Profimax also aligns its goals with sustainability and is committed to safety for its employees. For Lensen, it is very important to have and maintain a bond with its employees, despite its tremendous growth. "We treat our employees exactly the same as our customers. Open, honest, down-to-earth and enthusiastic." Proudly he adds, "When I drive around the Netherlands, every construction crane represents a potential job, which we can qualify for as a flexible shell. When you brave a construction crane on the Zuidas in Amsterdam, I would even dare to say that Profimax is active there. For us, this is proof that our credo 'always get the job done' is starting to manifest itself like an oil slick and I am enormously proud of that."
