Retaining wall manufacturer Bosch Beton moved in its entirety on June 1 to its state-of-the-art factory in Barneveld directly on the A1 motorway. The building was built with sustainable materials, for example recycled products were used and it is equipped with many sustainable installations. With the commissioning of the new factory, the market leader in the field of retaining walls (?) has also increased its production capacity. To this end, the entire production process has been optimized, making Bosch Beton ready for the increasing market demand with all the associated requirements. In short; Bosch Beton is ready for the future!
BREEAM Outstanding certified factory
Bosch Beton is a forerunner in the field of sustainability; for example, they were also the first retaining wall manufacturer worldwide to be CSC certified for sustainable concrete production. With the completion of the new plant, Bosch Beton has taken this a step further by building the plant BREEAM and thereby qualifying for the highest level 'Outstanding'. This certification looks at all kinds of sustainability aspects, such as energy, water consumption, what materials were used and how waste and pollution are dealt with. A good example of this, which will be immediately visible to everyone driving past the building starting in August, is that the entire roof will be fitted with solar panels.
13 acres of retaining walls
The plant stands on a plot of about 13 hectares. The factory itself has an area of 33,400m2 (approximately 3.5 ha.), most of which is used for the production of retaining walls. The plant has access to several concrete mixers and process cranes for multiple production lines. This gives Bosch Beton even more possibilities to produce customer-specific applications such as structures, color concrete and recycling materials. Last May, Bosch Beton received the KOMO and Güteschutz certification for the new plant with which production has already started at the Grote Bosweg 1 in Barneveld. These certifications assure customers of a consistently high quality product.
Trucks are also facilitated with high-tech unmanned access control including a weighbridge that can handle all types of both width and length transport.
Green energy for factory and immediate environment
The old site in Kootwijkerbroek will be redeveloped. A sustainable energy park is being developed. The intention is to realize a solar park of approximately 10 hectares, which can provide green energy to the immediate living environment in Kootwijkerbroek.
The new visiting address of Bosch Beton's headquarters as of June 1, 2019 is: Grote Bosweg 1 in Barneveld. Easily accessible via exit 16 (Voorthuizen) of the A1 motorway.
