This year's Concrete Event 2022 will take place on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. The basis of the Concrete Event is knowledge and application of the material concrete. A conference with leading speakers on the latest developments in the industry combined with the exhibition floor and networking opportunities where you gain knowledge, share knowledge and make knowledge. The event offers a platform to all parties in the construction chain! The Concrete Association, organizer of the Concrete Event, has chosen this year to organize the event in the spring instead of in the fall.
Unfortunately, the 2021 Concrete Event could not take place due to the measures in place at the time. Maikel Jagroep, director of the Concrete Association: "This year, after consultation with our members, we have chosen to bring the event forward and organize it earlier in the year. We noticed that the need within the sector is great to meet each other and in addition, there is still some doubt about the situation in the fall of 2022. Therefore, we have chosen to have the event take place in June.''
On Tuesday, June 14, the doors of the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam will open. Sharing knowledge, gaining knowledge and making knowledge is central. A topical and inspiring knowledge program entitled 'Panorama Beton, de Verdieping' will be offered during the day in 4 different speaker corners. Topics will include: climate adaptation, energy transition, urbanization and circularity. This year, partners also have the opportunity to provide a knowledge session. In addition to the knowledge sessions, professionals from the concrete (construction) sector can meet each other live in the meeting places of partners and the well-known networking square.
The 22nd edition of awarding the Concrete Prize will take place live at this year's Concrete Event 2022. With the relocation of Beton Event 2021, the award ceremony for the Concrete Prize also moved with it. On Tuesday, June 14, the awards will be presented at the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam.
