Scaffolding Safety Knowledge Day

Directive Scaffolding and erection method rolling scaffolds central

The Vereniging van Steiger-, hoogwerk- en Betonbekisting-bedrijven VSB, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, together with Cobouw, Arbo and the NVVK Vakgroep Bouw en Infra, is organizing the Kennisdag Veilig scaffoldinggebruik. The event will take place on May 16, 2019 at the Jaarbeurs Meetup in Utrecht.

The knowledge day will focus on safe scaffolding use against the background of the Scaffolding Directive and the assembly method for rolling scaffolds. This day is intended for safety experts, KAM-coordinators safety officers in construction or industry and other interested parties who deal with (stationary) scaffolding or mobile scaffolds on a daily basis.

The topic scheduled for May 16 is the new status of the Scaffolding Directive. Subsequently, separate lectures will deal with the preparation, execution and use phase of scaffolding. This will be explained on the basis of practical cases.

A content presentation on the new erection method for safe rolling scaffold use will be provided for the rolling scaffold. This presentation will also conclude with practical case studies.

The lectures will be given by experienced experts in the field of scaffolding construction and working with mobile scaffolds. The day will be led by chairman of the day Thomas van Belzen, journalist for Cobouw.

Around the Knowledge Day, the special website www.steigergebruik.nl has been created that provides more information about lectures and speakers and where visitors can register to participate. Quick decision makers benefit from a early bird discountwhich is valid until next April 1.

With members and donors, the VSB now has about 85 companies. The members alone represent an estimated annual turnover of 800 million euros. The broad-based constituency of the VSB - divided into three sections - pursues one common goal: to provide a safe workplace at height.
