For over sixty years, Lievers Holland has been an international specialist in the field of machines and tools for treating, processing and finishing freshly poured concrete. Since 2019, the specialist has been explicitly betting on electric concrete processing machines, which are not only much more durable but at the same time take ease of use to a higher level. The portfolio of battery-powered machines for the professional market is constantly growing and was expanded this summer to include a battery-powered trowel.
In 2019, Lievers Holland surprised with the world's first battery-powered concrete vibrator for the professional market. "A revolutionary concept at the time and still unmatched," says Cees de Wit, managing director of Lievers Holland. "Apart from the durability aspect, this machine also increases the ease of use. Because the poker vibrator runs on battery power, the user no longer has to deal with an annoying power cord. A win-win." Following the battery-powered poker vibrator, the delivery program was expanded in 2021 and 2022 to include two battery-powered finishers, the K150Li and the HAL200Li, respectively.
Flattening can also be done completely emission-free from now on. Meet the Lievers LTM-eGX series of trowels, available in two diameters of 60 and 75 centimeters. De Wit is only too proud of this machine, which was developed jointly with Honda at the intercession of Lievers Holland. "The first steps were taken together with Honda and we are enormously proud of that," he says. "We are therefore 'launching partner' of this machine, the delivery of which started this summer. The concept is based on our familiar LTM technology. The electric trowel machine features a 72 Volt electric motor powered by a 720 Wh battery pack. On the battery pack, the machine can run for an average of one hour. The battery pack is quickly exchangeable and fully charged within one to one and a half hours."
Thus, with the Lievers LTM-eGX series, professionals can now also finish a floor surface of high quality and quality completely emission-free and cordless. "Other advantages are the light weight, low noise level and optimum ease of operation thanks to a height-adjustable (and foldable) handlebar and a solid lifting bracket," De Wit lists. "The handlebars can also be adjusted in width as desired and the blade angle adjustment knob is even more accessible, making blade adjustment easy and comfortable. The machine is otherwise well balanced and also looks great."
All Lievers Holland machines are designed so that parts are replaceable in case of damage or wear. "This is how we make a difference in Europe. It really is our hobbyhorse," De Wit believes. "Thus, a vibrator is not written off in case of damage to the sheath or a worn out string. It can all be replaced. That is also what we mean by durability. Many customers make grateful use of that." Lievers Holland continues unabated with the electrification of concrete processing machines and recently announced a DuoScreed with battery, a multifunctional machine that can be used as a vibrating beam and finishing trowel. "We still have plenty of ideas," De Wit says in conclusion. To be continued, no doubt.
