On the construction site, sustainability plays an increasingly important role. The requirements are becoming increasingly stringent. Mixer2Rent is therefore investing in fully electric mixer trailers. These offer a flexible solution for work in inner cities, for example. "We see that the demand is increasing," he says.
Mixer2Rent has been renting out concrete mixers with electric propulsion for years and takes care of users completely: from transport, maintenance and repair to courses for the drivers. Many inner cities have strict requirements for the weights and axle loads of the vehicles allowed there.
Maarten Hof of Mixer2Rent: "In Amsterdam, for example, the rules will soon be further tightened. We closely monitor these developments and therefore know what is allowed in which cities. This way, our customers can always have a vehicle with the correct axle loads."
Customers of Mixer2Rent include concrete mixing plants, contractors and transporters. Rental of the concrete mixers is possible from as little as one day, but in most cases customers rent the mixers for longer periods of time, up to four years. Renting concrete mixers has its advantages. For example, the user does not have to invest himself and always has access to a modern fleet of hybrid truck mixers.
Mixer2Rent delivers the concrete mixers on site in consultation with the customer. Hof: "With a full tank and with clear instructions for the driver, so they can get to work immediately. In addition, we transport throughout the Netherlands and are always available in case of emergencies, damage or for repairs."
The electrically powered concrete mixers are well suited for projects that need to be emission-free, such as thus in some inner cities or for companies at the forefront of sustainability. Hof: "The demand is increasing in recent years, especially for government tenders. But also for sustainably built projects such as offices. We respond to this. You can not escape the fact that we go to completely emission-free vehicles. With these concrete mixers you are immediately ready for the future. You reduce emissions during construction. In addition, of course, you also save fuel. And because there is no diesel engine in it, he also makes almost no noise. That increases comfort and safety on the construction site. The drivers experience that as pleasant."
But Mixer2Rent does much more than just rent. Hof: "We relieve the concrete plants and take away all their worries. In addition, we can also provide code 95 courses, so that the drivers stay up-to-date, can obtain the correct certificates and can work safely with the mixers." Such a course usually lasts a day. Everyone with a truck driving license must comply with code 95 and take regular refresher courses to do so. Hof: "Among other things, we provide courses on working safely, driving economically and dealing with the tachograph, especially for drivers who work with electric concrete mixers. Such a course has a direct impact on the daily routine for the driver, he really has something to gain."
