Bart Dhaene, CEO of Vytech since 2021, has a clear vision for service, collaboration and the future of the industry. Vytech was founded in 2017, by bundling companies with a strong history. Since then, the company has experienced significant growth, bringing even more companies under the Vytech banner. Is it a challenging period for our industry? Definitely. But Bart knows how he wants to meet that challenge with Vytech.
Vytech is a specialist in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering & automation, metal construction and industrial relocation. As a multidisciplinary group, the company prefers to focus on complex projects. 'When a customer says to us, "We want this, but we don't know how," we are at our best. Then we can effectively prove our added value thanks to all the disciplines we have in house. Actually, our concept is technical service. So, dear client, tell us your challenges, and we'll find a solution. And in doing so, we always look wider than the client's initial question.'
'Zooming in on Liemar, I can say that the entire team is still behind the decision to implement the system. The longer we work with it, the more benefits we see. Before, if a customer called requesting a status update, we could have two days of work on that. One part on paper, one part in Excel and everything split between branches and departments. Now it's a push of a button. There is serious added value in that.
Vytech works on extensive projects, addressing multiple (or even all) of the company's disciplines. 'That also means that a project can be worked on from six locations. But all those people work in the same system, with one project number. Everyone registers on the correct numbers and we always have an instant and up-to-date overview. For ourselves or for the customer. That saves so much time in administration. That's fantastic.
'Especially in the last two quarters we have been working hard with the data we get from Liemar. For example by looking at the success rate of tenders and determining decision times. In this way, information from the past helps with reliable forecasting. By designing our processes more efficiently, we can successfully meet the challenges of our industry.'
Between Vytech and Liemar is about 200 kilometers. Yet that distance never causes any problems. 'In case of questions, Liemar is immediately accessible and I always get a quick answer. But what I also find very valuable is that we really listen to each other and engage in dialogue. We can challenge each other and thus also evolve together. That dynamic is good, because it helps us arrive at new insights together.
