Scaffolding material in extra heavy quality

For Matemco, this means that its material deployment for the cantilevers has reached its maximum point. Over 300 tons of equipment will support the points until they can support each other. 

The choice of the mercury scaffolding system from Matemco Auxiliary Structures was well-considered. In its package, it also has support material that can load up to 75 kN. "This is due to the heavier steel grade S355," Hendriks explains. "The system looks virtually the same as the 'regular' systems and they can also be used interchangeably. The heavy quality is certainly the reason that we have relatively many orders in infrastructure and utility construction." The excellently organized equipment service, with a rental stock of over 900,000 parts and a professional logistics system also offers the customer great advantages.

High quality service

Matemco also offers a high-quality, modern service. A team of in-house engineers checks the supplied load-bearing capacity for the projects, draws out the supports in 3D and calculates the required equipment. "3D is now standard with us," Hendriks notes. "Drawings in 2D are certainly still possible, but are increasingly among the exceptions." The engineers also ensure that the design meets current quality and safety regulations for the industry.

High and complex

Above all, the work is special. And so is Matemco. Hendriks: "The sloping undersides with loads from the sliding floor formwork, subsurface deflections and settlement of the system require engineering feats. No matter how simple and ordered the design looks, it is a complex framework." In addition to the calculation and supply of the support structures, Matemco supplied the supporting equipment for Sluishuis Amsterdam for the floors of the parking garage and the complex part of the facade scaffolding.
