ERP implementations without scars? It can be done!

ERP implementations often involve the formation of scar tissue. They are laborious processes in which a lot of time, energy and money are lost in order to arrive at a specific tailor-made solution. But even then that suit often does not fit well, because under pressure of time and money the quality is abandoned. That is then picked up 'after going live'.

But from procrastination comes procrastination. Because then we are back to walking hard into the old traps. So at the bottom of the line, nothing has changed and nothing has progressed. And the conclusions are quickly drawn: ERP is no good. It costs a lot and delivers nothing. Well, it does produce a lot of frustration, irritation and disappointment. That is true.

It can also be done differently. A good ERP solution contains precisely no customization. The processes are known, aren't they? It is the opportunity to work on your business (what you do and why), instead of writing down how you have always done it. 'Fit for the job.' Making sure you get stronger where you are weak and where your losses are.
