I-Theses acquires Kresoft Systems

At the end of April, the software company i-Theses from Lokeren completed the acquisition of sector partner Kresoft Systems from Buggenhout. Both companies develop ERP solutions for construction and construction-related companies and precast concrete producers throughout Europe. The respective company offices will be retained and owner Gert Janssens of Kresoft Systems was appointed as director. His entire team also remains on board. In a transitional phase, they will go public as i-Theses Group. i-Theses previously acquired UK-based Winfloor last year.

Mutual strengths

i-Theses focuses primarily on European manufacturers of precast concrete floor slabs, beams, columns, stairs and walls. Its ERP solutions are cloud-based and available through a subscription formula. They facilitate all aspects of the production process, from quotation, design and planning over stock management and production to logistics and invoicing. They also avoid repeated re-entry of the same data at different stages of the production process.

Kresoft Systems was founded in 1984 and became fully owned by Gert Janssens in 2011. The company gained particular fame with its standard ERP total solutions for the optimization of business processes at contractors and producers of rebar and/or building elements in (precast) concrete.

Among other things, i-Theses gained notoriety with PrecastOffice. PrecastOffice on the one hand includes applications based on Autocad for design in 2D and 3D, offered under the name AutoPrecast. The AutoPrecast modules are easy to use and integrate seamlessly into a BIM workflow. The major difference with other known 3D design software is that AutoPrecast focuses entirely on production and in this sense is often deployed between the 3D (BIM) model and production. In addition, modules for planning and monitoring projects, production, logistics, etc. are offered under the name PlanDesk. Characteristic of the PrecastOffice software is the fully digital workflow with automatic checks. By using the latest techniques it is possible to digitize all processes and make data related to the status of a project accessible at any time, on any device and for everyone. Says Rony Verlee, "Since their introduction, our ERP solutions have revolutionized the industry, especially in terms of user-friendliness, accessibility, profitability, speed and efficiency of the production process and significantly reducing any production losses."

For years, Kresoft Systems has been designing stable and user-friendly ERP programs that support all business processes. The programs of Kresoft Systems
work seamlessly with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Furthermore, it interfaces its programs with financial software such as Exact, AccountView, Venice, Adsolut, Sage Bob, ExpertM and more. Some of its widely used programs include: Stargon, Promacalc and Matergon. Stargon handles the management of everything related to cutting/bending/welding of rebar, netting, profile steel, sheet steel and concrete elements and this from quotation to delivery/placement/invoicing.

Synergy and complementarity

Verlee: "With i-Theses, we offer a great deal of expertise in design applications and software for planning precast elements. The strength of Kresoft Systems lies rather in the automation of rebar. In the context of expanding our offering in the market of precast walls, stairs, beams and columns, the processing of rebar is an important part. In this sense, Kresoft's applications and experience are indispensable. In addition to the advantage of synergies and complementarity, the expansion of our team by 11 experienced employees is an important benefit. i-Theses Group now has 25 people and in the future will integrate the solutions of both companies into one powerful platform."
