Mark Rombouts Welding and Construction Works: bocad is the drawing system for project-driven steel construction

Mark Rombouts Las- en Constructiewerken, based in Sint Lenaarts, Belgium, makes custom metal structures. Think of poutrels, balustrades, banisters and landings. A good drawing system - especially for custom work - is of course indispensable. For Marcel Brughmans, the technical force behind Mark Rombouts, the choice was simple: bocad.

When Marcel started at Mark Rombouts, there was no system in use yet. 'I had worked with bocad years before. In the meantime, I tried several - maybe ten - other drawing programs. But bocad is, in my opinion, the best program for modeling.'

'I especially like the workhouse drawings. That's because 99% of the dimensions are already correct when the drawing is ready. That saves a lot of manual hassle. And what is not yet correct is often due to a setting that we can improve ourselves.' The 3D views, material lists and metallization lists also provide a lot of clarity, for Marcel and for his colleagues in the workhouse.
