A groundbreaking development is taking place in the world of precast concrete production. Matrix Software, leading in the design of floor elements and flat walls with IC-Prefab and Strusoft, leading in production automation with IMPACT Production have realized an integrated data exchange between the two software packages. The data exchange between IC-Prefab and IMPACT means that two products that until now operated separately now work together seamlessly.

The integration was achieved through the pre-existing platform IC-Elms, which stands for Integrated Concrete Elements Management System. This innovation promises to revolutionize the precast concrete industry by streamlining design and production processes and providing increased efficiency and improved visibility into production planning. IC-Prefab, with its advanced CAD-CAM functionality for design and machine control, offers with the integrated IC-Elms a platform for generating all production data such as machine files and production drawings. With its new integration with IMPACT, this now also offers the ability to use model data directly as the basis for follow-up processes. This enables users to convert engineering work into concrete production planning. The drawing or model in IC-Prefab is the data carrier, and with this new integration, element data from the drawing is transferred directly into IMPACT for project and production planning. This new feature allows users to take full advantage of a seamless workflow. IMPACT provides intuitive functionality for assigning assembly sequence and production sequence in 3D. Once assigned, the desired stacking arrangement of elements is automatically determined and transports are automatically planned taking into account company standards.

"IC-Elms has been used as a platform that we will use from now on to enable an exchange between programs. The first example of this is the bidirectional exchange of data between IC-Prefab and IMPACT. In addition, a link has already been established with Microsoft Dynamics and Business Central for project administration, planning, progress, purchasing and invoicing. Through this platform, we can connect any ERP system or other software. Furthermore, IC-Elms can of course also be used to generate an IFC file of the model to use for BIM."
