A software package that digitizes and simplifies business processes from the point of sale to delivery and final administrative processing down to the smallest detail is crucial for optimal operation within the manufacturing industry. This also applies to the precast concrete industry, as it improves the productivity and efficiency of business and production processes and prevents errors. PreCastOffice from specialist i-Theses is a complete and fully integrated software for the precast concrete industry. To respond to changes in the market, the company continues to continuously optimize and expand the software.
With years of experience in software development, i-Theses' specialists have focused on the development of applications for the precast concrete sector since the 1990s. The company accompanies concrete implementations throughout the various processes. Thus, the specialists develop specific applications, whether or not based on standard modules, which they then implement at the customer's site. They then provide in-depth training for users and support customers in the start-up of concrete projects. Finally, these customers can turn to i-Theses for outsourcing, very often beyond national borders. Thanks to its development department (member of the Autodesk Developer Network), the software house also develops specific solutions tailored to the customer, both in terms of databases and web-based applications, CAD developments and, of course, integration.
With PreCastOffice, the software specialist introduced a complete and fully integrated software solution for the precast concrete industry, which supports all types: prestressed and reinforced hollow core slabs/vaults, wide slabs/predges, beams/pots floor systems, precast concrete beams and columns. "This software digitizes all steps in the business process: from sales and design through planning and production to final administrative processing. The CAD-based applications can always be found under the heading Auto-Floor/BeCo/Stairs, while the planning and administrative applications end at 'Desk'. The PreConSlab calculation software allows to design and analyze prestressed and reinforced concrete floor systems," explains CEO Rony Verlee. "The PreCastOffice software is very quick and easy to learn by any user due to its clear graphical user interfaces and can be fully integrated into the BIM process thanks in part to Revit extensions and IFC export options."
The specialists at i-Theses are not sitting still and are constantly reinventing their software, in order to respond to new developments in the various countries and, above all, to be able to configure everything in a flexible way according to customers' wishes. "For example, there is a new module for drawing, calculating and realizing so-called bun floors, also known as beam/pot floor systems based on prestressed beams with intermediate elements. Such systems are very commonly used in certain countries. While in the United Kingdom mainly full blocks made of concrete and styrene are used, Belgium, the Netherlands and France mainly opt for hollow blocks. The concrete blocks can easily be cut into all possible shapes, but this is less obvious for elements made of styrene or fired clay. Thanks to the software, the entire production process can be carried out accurately and automatically", Verlee states. "This software offers the additional advantage that one can immediately calculate from the drawing whether the floor will be strong enough for a certain span and load. In the near future, it will be possible to automatically make an offer to the end customer from a laying plan, which will save a considerable amount of time."
