MatrixFloor has everything for a solid and qualitative design of precast concrete beam systems and floors. Years of insight and experience of engineers, constructors and Matrix Software's own software engineers have resulted in an advanced and very powerful calculation program, with which one or more beams can be calculated in no time. Moreover, through manual input or integrated with the CAD/CAM solution IC-Prefab, precast concrete floors can be designed very quickly, including representative reports for clients, chief structural engineers and supervising structural engineers.
MatrixFloor is specially developed for the design and dimensioning of precast concrete beam systems and floors such as traditional and prestressed wide slab floors, hollow-core slabs and rib-case floors. The calculation software, with its great simplicity and high speed, is a powerful tool especially for concrete manufacturers, who can use it to ensure a safe and proper production process. In addition, MatrixFloor is very valuable for clients, principal structural engineers and controlling structural engineers in the design process.
"MatrixFloor has a lot of capabilities," emphasizes account manager Shahram Omary. "With the calculation program, both simple and complex structures can be calculated," where users can rely on high safety and reliability. Both our customers and our own software engineers work with practical experiences, norms and standards regarding, for example, strength, stiffness, stability and fire resistance, which continuously evolve along with the changing risk landscape. Our software dynamically goes along with this. Another interesting aspect is the development of the new Eurocode, for which MatrixFloor is already prepared. This makes our software very current and relevant."
All of MatrixFloor's designs are a proposal, Omary emphasizes. "Each design proposal is also interactively customizable. This makes MatrixFloor not a straightjacket, but an interactive design tool that helps clients with maximum freedom to realize a design that meets all their needs and requirements."
In addition, MatrixFloor is able to take the various construction phases into account during the calculation process. "For example, all boundary conditions can be taken into account during production, storage, transport, application, pouring, curing, demoulding and the use phase," Omary said. "Each property within the calculation model can be assigned to a construction phase, such as section, compression layer, overlays and loads. This also provides substantial (efficiency) benefits."
Shahram Omary (26) was appointed account manager for MatrixFloor early this year. He has a college/TU background and started in October 2023 as a consultant in Matrix Software's engineering department. "I was responsible for a bit of support and consulting here," he says. "A fun and challenging job that worked out so well that just a few months later I was given the confidence to present MatrixFloor to the market.
