Commissioned by Heijmans in 2024, EECULAIR started dismantling a temporary steel structure that was produced and installed by us in 2020 during the renovation of the bed towers of the Amsterdam UMC. This steel, which was used at the time for a project of Heijmans Utiliteit, is now getting a new destination in Arnhem.
In the transformation and renovation of The New Post in Arnhem, circularity plays a key role. The reused steel will be reused in 2025 in this iconic monumental building. This working method fits perfectly with the sustainable and future-oriented vision of the project, in which materials are maximally reused and the building is given a timeless quality.
De Nieuwe Post will not just be a renovated office, but an inspiring example of circular construction. Circularity is central to this renovation: materials will be reused as much as possible and the focus will be on a flexible and sustainable design. Commissioned by Heijmans, we are contributing to a future-proof, sustainable and healthy environment that does justice to the historical value of this special building.
The dismantled steel will be given a final destination in the renovated building, thus contributing to a circular economy and honoring the unique elements of De Nieuwe Post. EECULAIR is proud to be part of this integrated approach, in which sustainability, aesthetics and future-proof value come together.
