Galvanizing, powder coating, wet painting or anodizing products, The Coatinc Company offers a total post-treatment package in the Benelux. "We help ennoble the 'dreams' of our customers," says director Guus Habraken. He talks about the international group's unique philosophy, its sustainability ambitions (also with regard to its employees) and its latest technologies, including high-temperature galvanizing.
The Coatinc Company is an international group that originated in Germany. "We can boast a centuries-long history (since 1882) and still carry the designation of family business. The group now has more than 20 branches, seven of which are in the Benelux. We process for the most diverse clients in construction, infrastructure and greenhouse construction and offer a wide range of solutions in the field of hot-dip galvanizing and powder coating. A total package, we may safely say, in which we can even take care of transport."
Despite the enormous volumes processed by The Coatinc Company, the family-owned company is also open to smaller orders. Habraken: "We are interested in customers who want to have two balcony railings conserved up to series of as many as 500,000 elements, for example. We set no limits in this regard and in principle always say 'yes' to customer requests. Comments like "if" or "unless" are not something we will readily accept. This forces us to gather as much information as possible up front, so that no discussion arises afterwards. A deal is a deal. We have appointed a relationship manager per branch who deals with all questions, comments or remarks from customers. That works fantastically well. Moreover, the customer has only one point of contact. We may not be the cheapest, but we guarantee a competitive offer. Perfect quality is not an issue, that is a given."
Each branch in the Benelux thus has its own specialty, Habraken continues. "That means we can offer a suitable preservation technique for almost any potential challenge. Unique for the Benelux is our high-temperature galvanizing plant in Mook. This technique allows us to control the layer thickness much better. Moreover, the result is a much smoother and more even surface. The automotive sector in particular benefits from this, but high-temperature galvanizing is also interesting for the construction industry, especially if there is an aesthetic component. The high-temperature treated elements can be applied naked. Naturally, this preservation layer can be covered well with a powder coating or wet paint."
According to Habraken, The Coatinc Company is constantly optimizing processes, both for sustainability and to save costs. "For example, we are in the process of setting up a central transportation plan across all of our sites, which may include driving more at night to relieve the road network. We are also constantly trying to improve working conditions for our employees. All developments are encapsulated in a long-term vision. The vision towards 2020 has already crystallized considerably, now we are moving our horizon towards 2025. There are some great developments in the pipeline," Habraken reveals.
