Specialist in surface treatments: at home in all markets

The two Belgian sister companies Metalix and Galvacoat Steelcoat offer a full range of surface treatment for the Dutch and Belgian markets: blasting, wet painting, metallizing, galvanizing and powder coating. At the helm of the family business for some time now have been sisters Sofie and Tineke Kempeneers alongside father Peter Kempeneers, with a clear vision of quality, sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

The companies' activities are centralized in Lummen. Galvacoat Steelcoat specializes in the chemical pretreatment and powder coating of steel, galvanized steel and aluminum, while Metalix focuses mainly on the blasting and powder coating of sprinkler pipes. "In addition, at Metalix we also have a hand blasting booth, a metallization booth and some wet paint halls," adds business manager Tineke Kempeneers. "The markets we serve are very diverse and range from the preservation of structures for greenhouse construction, fencing, garden gates, construction cranes, silos and containers to parts of bridges, roller coasters, hall construction, etc."

Delivering quality is top priority at Metalix and Galvacoat Steelcoat. "Both for powder coating and wet coating, we are Qualisteelcoat certified, and this for the highest corrosion class C5. In addition, we hold the EN 1090 declaration of conformity for load-bearing steel structures as a basis for CE marking," says Kempeneers. "In addition to a continuous focus on quality, we also take our social responsibility. We pay great attention to the well-being of our employees. Because thanks to their efforts, we can fulfill our promises to our customers. Furthermore, we invest heavily in renewable energy. We have been ISO 14001 certified for many years, have wind energy and are constantly expanding our 'solar park'."

High quality and environmental responsibility are important pillars at Metalix and Galvacoat Steelcoat. "We recently expanded our participation in Verzinkerij Lenssen for an even better interaction with our paint shops. In this way, we want to further strengthen our position in the market as a total supplier of surface treatments."
