As part of Hegeman Bouw Partners, the recognized concrete renovation company from Nijmegen is committed to completely unburdening the client. Throughout the entire process, from preliminary survey to completion.
Anyone wishing to discover the experience, expertise and versatility of Hegeman Bouw Civiel would do well to visit the website of the parent company. Under the 'Civil' button here the qualities of Hegeman Bouw Civiel are listed in words and pictures. What is striking is not only the variety of renovation work carried out, but it is also immediately clear that the company is active throughout the Netherlands. Hans van Sommeren, Managing Director of Hegeman Bouw Civiel, says: "Our renovation expertise is very broad and this is reflected in both the types of projects and the clients. We are active with our concrete repair work in the civil sector, but also within the industrial and utility sectors. In addition, we provide preservation, surface treatments and we remove and prevent graffiti. In these areas, too, we have the knowledge and expertise to provide clients with the best possible service."
However, repairing aesthetic, technical and structural concrete damages is and remains Hegeman Bouw Civiel's core business. Over the years, the company gained the necessary experience in the field. This has provided considerable knowledge to detect the first stages of concrete damage and to tackle the most serious forms. Work that is invariably followed by the application of a high-quality protection, so that the treated surface can withstand years again. "We carry out the concrete repairs under the KOMO process certificates BRL3201 part 1, the technical strengthening and protection of concrete, and BRL3201 part 2, the structural repair and strengthening of concrete," said Van Sommeren. "This allows us to meet the highest quality requirements of our clients."
These requirements can also relate to the restoration and conservation of historic buildings, city walls and other monumental objects. This is another area where Hegeman Bouw Civiel is regularly asked to provide a suitable solution. This also happens when, among other things, road surfaces and (industrial) industrial floors have to be provided with a high-quality protective layer. "In the case of highways, you're talking about a wearing course, a synthetic layer applied to an existing asphalt pavement with crushed stone chippings," Van Sommeren explains. "Its purpose is to seal cracks and irregularities so that the asphalt is perfectly protected from weathering and ultraviolet radiation. We apply a similar principle around the preservation of commercial and industrial floors. In these cases, the main issue is to level the floors and provide them with a durable anti-slip coating."
Steel Preservation
The preservation of steel components and objects is one of Hegeman Bouw Civiel's specialties. Recently, together with partner Van Doorn, the company removed chromium-6 from the steel elements of a bridge between Bergen and Salesdreef near Terheijden. In addition, the concrete bridge sections were repaired and conserved.
